The nearly indestructible one-piece knife and skeletonized handle is precision made from 8Cr stainless steel; it’s 3.3” long blade makes it a handy and capable knife. 58 – 60 C scale for hardness. The forward spine of the ThroughHiker© is ground to a “90 degree sharp edge” to make an excellent scrapping edge for the integral high-quality hot sparking Ferrocerium rod, fire starter. Great for lighting Backpack stoves; save more weight by not having to bring a lighter with you!
The shape of the blade, and Scandi grind, is designed to facilitate easy maintenance. Further, this knife excels at carving wood (for all bushcraft needs), and for processing fish and game, food, and other utility tasks.
The seven strand, paracord lanyard is over 30”,(762mm) long with strands added together ~21feet. This gives the user enough cord use for a bow, fishing, trapping, shelter and other uses.
